Download on the App StoreSales tax, VAT and GST for 239 countries, states and provinces — and the figure shown is the catering rate, which across much of Europe sits below the headline one. Germany taxes a restaurant meal at 7%, not 19%. France at 10%, not 20%. The United States and Canada open a list of states and provinces, because neither has a single national rate.

It helps to include your device, your iOS version and the language the app is running in. For a number that looks wrong, the bill amount, the tip percentage and the country you were in are usually enough to reproduce it.
