Wine Cellar Database

A proper record of what is in your cellar — every bottle, vintage and price, with the fields you decide matter, kept on your own device.

What it does

Your fields, not ours

Add your own categories and rows, and record whatever you actually track — vintage, quantity, price paid, drinking window, rack location, tasting notes. Nothing is fixed.

A photo of the label

Take a picture of the bottle or pick one from your library, so a wine is recognisable at a glance rather than by name alone.

Find anything quickly

Search by name, filter by any category you have defined, mark favourites and keep a wishlist of what you are still looking for.

Spreadsheet in, spreadsheet out

Import an existing list from a CSV file and export your cellar back out at any time — your records are yours, in a format anything can read.

Move between your devices

Keep one cellar in step across your iPhone and iPad with iCloud, or back the whole thing up — photos included — to a single file you can carry to a new device.

Values in your currency

Record what you paid in the currency you paid it in, and see the total converted at current rates.

Support

Questions, bug reports and feature requests are all welcome, and are read by the person who writes the app.

Email winecellardatabase@icloud.com. It helps to include your device, your iOS version, and what you were doing when the problem happened. If a wine or a value looks wrong, telling us what you entered and what you expected is usually enough to reproduce it.

There is also a FAQ inside the app, under Email & FAQ in the menu.

Cellar size

The app is free to download and holds ten wines. If you need more room, one-time in-app purchases add space — 40, 100 or 500 more wines, or an unlimited cellar. Any purchase also removes the ads.

One space is one unique wine, not one bottle: twenty-eight bottles of the same vintage take a single space.
