Privacy Policy

For the Conversion Calculator Plus iOS app · Last updated 25 July 2026

The short version. There is no account and no sign-in. Your favourites, saved conversions and settings live on your device. The app fetches exchange rates, shows ads through Google AdMob, and processes subscriptions through Apple and RevenueCat. It does not ask to track you across other companies' apps and websites.

Information the app collects

strikespark does not collect, store or receive any personal information from this app. There is no account to create and no server of ours that your device talks to. The third-party services described below receive limited data in order to do their jobs, and each is named here.

Information stored on your device

The following is saved locally so the app can remember what you were doing. It is not transmitted to us and is removed when you delete the app:

If you use iCloud device backups, this data may be included in your own backup, under your Apple account. We have no access to it.

Exchange rates

To convert currencies, cryptocurrencies and precious metals, the app downloads a public table of exchange rates from a free public rates API, served via Cloudflare Pages and the jsDelivr CDN.

This is a plain request for a public file — the same file is served to every user. It carries no identity, no location, and nothing you typed into the app. As with any web request, the servers involved receive your device's IP address and may log it, under their own policies rather than ours.

Subscriptions and purchases

Optional subscriptions are sold through Apple's In-App Purchase system. Apple processes the payment; we never see or receive your payment details.

Subscription status is managed with RevenueCat, which records the purchase and its status against an anonymous identifier generated by the app. That identifier is not your name, your email or your Apple account — the app does not supply RevenueCat with any identity information, because it has none to give.

Subscriptions are managed and cancelled through Apple, in Settings → your name → Subscriptions on your device.

Advertising and consent

The free version displays advertising supplied by Google AdMob. To serve and measure ads, Google may collect and process device and advertising data, as described in How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services.

In regions with applicable privacy laws, the app presents Google's consent form the first time it runs, and your choices are recorded on your device. You can reopen that form at any time from the app's privacy options in Settings.

This app does not ask for App Tracking Transparency permission and does not read your device's advertising identifier (IDFA) to track you across other companies' apps and websites. You can further limit ad personalisation in Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking and Settings → Privacy & Security → Apple Advertising.

Analytics

The app includes no analytics or crash-reporting service. Apple provides developers with anonymous, aggregated App Store statistics — download counts, crash totals — which cannot identify individual users, and only if you have opted in to sharing analytics with developers in your device settings.

Children

This app is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from children. Since we collect no personal information from anyone, there is nothing for us to delete — but if you have a concern, please write to us.

Changes to this policy

If the app's data practices change, this page will be updated and the date at the top will change with it. Material changes will also be noted in the release notes.
